There’s plenty to like at the re-imagined Greenwich eatery at the J House Hotel. There’s a wide array of fresh, flavorful food creatively presented in sophisticated surroundings, but the very open secret to this restaurant’s current success is in its new name: TONY’S AT THE J HOUSE because co-owner Tony Capasso is the host with the most.
Thanks to years working as a maître d’ at several other fine dining spots, Capasso enjoys an excellent reputation and a loyal following. “I work 12 to 14 hours, seven days a week to provide the best dining experience for our customers,” says Capasso. “I love food and I love people.”
Diners can expect a warm welcome from Tony (along with a trivia question), served with excellent food and wine. By the end of the evening you’ll feel like a family friend.
The fritto misto, panko crusted mozzarella, and short rib arancini are standout apps. The Raw Bar offers fresh seafood with the king tower of Maine lobster, Blue Point oysters, Kumato oysters, little neck clams and colossal crabmeat. Chef specialties include a Berkshire pork chop, Colorado rack of lamb, and veal chop Parmigiano.
You’ll want to return to this eatery, not just for the great food and fabulous patio, but also to see your good friend, Tony.
