Editor’s Pick Westport–Vedas Indian Cuisine
Tired of take-out? Vedas Indian Cuisine is just what you need to spice things up. Tucked into the Westfair Plaza just over the town line, owners Jaiprakash (JP) Agarwal and Dipika Behera are serving up some of the best Indian food in the county.
“We started our very first Indian restaurant, Tawa, in 2007 in Stamford,” says Behera. Over the next six years they opened three more restaurants until taking a sabbatical. Eager to get back in the game, in 2015 they opened Vedas in Norwalk. “Over a period of three years we realized we have a lot of customers from Westport and Southport,” she continues, so they opened a second location in Westport to “fill the gap.”
North Indian specialties like Butter Chicken, Crispy Coconut Shrimp, or Vegetable Tikka Masala are not to be missed. Several varieties of naan allow you to mop up every last bite. A few tables are available to dine-in (BYOB), or order through UberEats for delivery to your doorstep.
