When the Property Brothers need to shop, where might they go? Doing a job locally, the famous renovating HGTV personalities drove down to Klaffs Home Design Store in South Norwalk. Since 1921, the family-owned home design store has served local residences improve their homes. In fact, Klaffs recently made its television debut on the duo’s eponymously named program, starring twins Drew and Jonathan Scott. The real-estate expert and licensed contractor, respectively, work with clients to produce dream homes under a strict timeline and budget. When filming in Fairfield County, the duo decided to visit Klaffs’ flagship store in South Norwalk.
Specializing in bath, lighting, cabinetry, decorative hardware, tile, and stone, the retailer’s reputation as a one-stop-shop attracted the “Property Brothers” team. Klaffs’ setup features five art-gallery-like showrooms that allow for customers to visualize the final product and comfortably explore a variety of possibilities. The functioning kitchens, showers, spas, and lighting labs also highlight the business’ commitment to a hands-on shopping experience.
With the assistance of contemporary computer technology, Klaffs can generate three-dimensional line perspectives or photorealistic renderings of the project at hand. The store’s mission to streamline the occasionally grueling process of renovation resonated with the Scotts, who enjoyed experimenting with products such as showerheads, bathtubs, and fans.
Klaffs chairman Joe Passero affirmed the mutual admiration, saying, “We love having the Property Brothers. Drew and Jonathan really know what they’re doing when it comes to home design.” The brothers visit to Klaffs will appear on HGTV on August 31, 2016.
Serving it Up
