Trees for Good
Where to get your tree in the Bedford area
If you’re planning to deck the halls with greenery this season, one of the first items on your shopping list must be a Christmas tree. While our favorite local nurseries can offer you spectacular trees and all the festive trimmings, there are some wonderful local organizations selling tannenbaums to raise funds for their causes this season.
St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church in Bedford will host its annual sale in the churchyard on Saturday and Sunday, December 1 and 2.
The Bedford-Armonk Rotary Club will set up shop in the Bedford Hills Memorial Park on Haines Road on Fridays and weekends through December 24.
The Pound Ridge Fire Department will have a huge number of trees available this year to help raise funds for a local family in need—weekends starting November 24 until they’re sold out!
Lasdon Park, Arboretum & Veterans Memorial in Katonah will sell trees to support veterans.
And Golden’s Bridge Fire Department will hold its annual Christmas tree sale weekdays 4 pm to 9 pm and weekends 9 am to 9 pm.
Once your tree is trimmed, stop by Bedford Presbyterian Church’s Mistletoe Mart (December 1) to choose a wreath for your front door or fence post. All proceeds from the wreath sales will be directed to charity, as well.
